Program Purpose - To equip students with entry-level skills in computer electronics and related career fields.
- To provide entry-level technicians for TANZANIA’s business and industrial needs.
Objective
To help students obtain entry-level skills necessary for employments as computer technicians.
Enrollment Procedures
All applicants must fill out an application and take an aptitude test on the scheduled registration day. Information from that test is used to help determine what areas applicants may be successful in and to help them make career choices. Applicants must attend a counselling session to review the test scores and to discuss their training programs. They will then be placed on a waiting list for entry into the school. Applicants are notified of scheduled orientation.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must have a high school level equivalent to the British GCSE “O” level diploma.
Course Description
The Computer Electronics curriculum is designed to prepare the student for entry-level placement in the areas of maintenance, operation, repair, and interfacing of computer and computer-related equipment. Classroom and lab instruction provide the student with “hands-on” training using state-of-the-art computer equipment and training aids.
Length of Course
The course is a two-year program in which students progress together in a structured class setting.
